Economy & Base Rebalancing

Added

  • Added crafting of Gunpowder from sulfur and charcoal β€” previously it could only be found as loot.
  • Added Charcoal production by smelting wood in the Furnace.
  • Added High Quality Metal Ore drops to metal ore nodes, letting you farm high quality metal instead of relying only on loot.
  • Added the Repair Bench to restore damaged items by paying part of the crafting cost based on the durability lost.
  • Added an offline sleeping body when you log out, so a disconnected player can be killed and drop a loot corpse just like a normal death; looking at the body shows the player's name.

Changed

  • Rebalanced gathering XP (wood, stone, metal ore, sulfur ore) to smooth out the leveling pace.
  • Reduced the amount gathered per hit (wood, stone, metal ore, sulfur ore) so nodes aren't destroyed in one or two hits; it now takes about 3 hits with the right tool (hatchet/pickaxe) and 2 with the premium tool (chainsaw/jackhammer) β€” the node's total yield is unchanged.
  • Reduced the total resources per node (a tree now gives ~30–90 wood instead of up to 250) and rescaled base costs to match, keeping the gathering effort per building piece consistent.
  • Reduced the wood, stone, metal ore, and sulfur gained from loot (barrels/crates) to stay proportional to the new node yields β€” previously one barrel was worth about 3 trees of wood.
  • Reduced the material cost of all building pieces (foundation, wall, roof, door, etc.) by about 3x, cutting the time it takes to farm for a base.
  • Lowered the levels required for building tiers (wood level 5, stone level 10, iron level 15, armored level 20).
  • Reduced the Cupboard Tool cost from 1000 wood to 150 wood + 80 stone; it's a cheap, mandatory item again instead of costing more than 6 walls.
  • Increased the Cupboard Tool upkeep cost from 10% to 14% to match the new, cheaper base costs.
  • Reduced the cost of crafting stations and storage (workbenches, Refinery, Large Wooden Box, barricades), and restored their recycling returns to prevent a craft-and-recycle profit exploit.
  • Reduced the wood cost of the Wood Pants and Wood Chestplate, which cost more wood than a full wall.
  • Rebalanced explosive damage against bases: the Satchel Charge and Timed Explosive Charge now deal real damage (previously on par with a Beancan Grenade), and the Rocket and Grenade Launcher were adjusted too.
  • Increased the Grenade's gunpowder cost from 100 to 400 so it's no longer the cheapest explosive per damage and stops overshadowing the other raid explosives.
  • Reduced the Timed Explosive Charge's Explosives cost from 20 to 8; it previously used nearly double the gunpowder of a normal grenade for the same damage, making the most expensive explosive in the game a worse deal than the cheapest.

Fixed

  • Fixed building piece health being fixed at 1000 across all tiers; it now scales per tier (wood, stone, iron, and armored are each tougher).
  • Fixed the triangular wooden ceiling that couldn't be upgraded to the stone tier (its upgrade reference was incorrect).
  • Fixed the workbench level of Gears, Metal Pipe, Metal Spring, Road Signs, and the Sewing Kit, which required workbench 3 even though most weapons and armor that use them only need workbench 2 or 1; before this, nearly every tier-2 weapon (Python, MP5, Thompson, Custom SMG, Pump Shotgun, Flame Thrower, Salvaged Axe/Hammer, etc.) was impossible to craft without already owning a workbench 3.
  • Fixed the Hatchet, Revolver, and Double Barrel Shotgun (workbench 1) requiring a Metal Pipe, which itself needed workbench 3 to craft.
  • Fixed the Satchel Charge requiring only workbench 1 while using Beancan Grenades (workbench 2) as an ingredient; it now requires workbench 2.
  • Fixed the Binoculars, Chainsaw, Sewing Kit, and Hazmat recycling back 100% of their main material instead of ~50% like everything else in the game.
  • Fixed the hotbar not appearing on first join, only showing up after opening and closing the inventory.
  • Fixed the 3D teammate blip (the marker that floats over teammates in the world) not showing up.
v2FixedChangedAdded

Balancing & Bugfixes

Added

  • Added automatic removal of the Cupboard Tool password when it takes explosion damage.

Changed

  • Increased the window to move a placed building after creating it from 2 minutes to 2 hours.
  • Headshots on players without a helmet are now always an instant kill, regardless of the weapon used.
  • Rebalanced the damage of every weapon β€” previously almost all of them dealt the same damage.
  • Halved the XP gained from gathering resources (wood, stone, metal, sulfur) and looting barrels.

Fixed

  • Fixed the Recycler not working. #recycling-bug-79brx7
  • Fixed a crash that broke the interface when a custom font failed to load; it now falls back to a default font.
  • Fixed the fly anticheat triggering a false positive while swimming (on the surface or underwater).
  • Fixed tutorial tips that forced you to hold H to close them; they now close automatically after a few seconds.
  • Fixed resource blips (wood, stone, etc.) that never disappeared from the map/radar after the resource was destroyed; they now clear with the resource and return when it respawns.
  • Fixed inventory debug info (shown while holding Alt) being visible to any player; it now only appears with debug mode enabled.
  • Fixed the /kill command counting as a death on the K/D; suicide via command no longer increases your death count.
  • Fixed explosives (Grenade, Grenade Launcher, Rocket, Satchel Charge, Timed Explosive Charge) not dealing damage to nearby players.
  • Fixed loot bags and dead players' corpses that never disappeared from the ground; they now vanish after 15 minutes when no player is nearby.
  • Fixed being unable to destroy enemy objects (chests, furnaces, workbenches, etc.); only enemy base structures (walls, doors, etc.) remain protected, and removing friendly base structures now requires holding the Hammer.
  • Fixed being able to build without a cupboard or far from one; you can now only build/move objects within 15 meters of your own Cupboard Tool and at least 30 meters from an enemy's.
